Isabelle Roy

Isabelle Roy is an associate professor of linguistics at the University of Paris 8. She has graduated from the University of Southern California in 2006.
Her interests are at the interface between syntax and semantics. She has worked on non-verbal predication, adjectives, categorial changes, nominalisation, copular sentences and more recently on the development of merge and recursion in the transition from single-words to sentences in the early development of language.
Her interests in nominalizations ranges from the linguistic ontology to the syntactic processes that allow to derive nominals from verbal and adjectival predicates and their semantic correlates.
